Kavita Bernstein
Biographical Info
With just under 20 years’ experience in the arena of children’s health, Kavita currently serves as the Program Manager for Children’s Health at First Things First, Arizona’s Early Childhood Development and Health Board. She has spent the majority of her career working with at-risk children in the behavioral health system, and now serves as the policy and program expert in early childhood health working to ensure that Arizona’s youngest Arizonans have the best start to life and are ready to succeed in school and in life. Kavita serves on the Board of Directors for NOAH: Neighborhood Outreach Access to Health Clinics. She has been a long-time ACEs Consortium member and is also honored to serve as the current ACEs Training Workgroup Chair as well as the interim Vice-Chair of the ACEs Consortium Board. Kavita's family has experienced their own level of trauma, bringing the impact of ACEs and trauma, front and center as a trainer. Kavita is an experienced trainer and story teller, speaking to audiences as large as 300 individuals.
