Biographical Info My journey toward becoming an expert Adverse Child Experiences Trainer began when I became a single parent of two little girls, age 3 and 6. This challenging personal experience propelled me into a professional career working as an early childhood teacher, college lab instructor, parent educator, professional development trainer and workshop facilitator. In my work, I am a passionate advocate for children and their families and the importance of bridging the gap between research and practice. I also strive to inspire others to spread the message of authentic relationship-based, child-centered active learning experiences as the basis of resilience and healing for both children and adults. Although I have moved from classroom teaching into the field of training and consulting, when asked about my work, I am always proud to say, ā€œIā€™m a preschool teacher. I make macaroni art, play in the sandbox and sing silly songs; and research proves that if I do my job well, I can change the world.ā€
